CIRQUE DU SOLEIL’s illustrious Zarkana was created uniquely for the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Directed by Francois Girard (The Red Violin), the show thrilled audiences in New York, Madrid, and made history by being the first Cirque show to play the Kremlin Palace Theatre in Moscow, Russia. After such a whirlwind tour, it found a home in Las Vegas where it played for over 3 years. I had the honor to play the Mad Scientist in all these places over 5 years and 1800 performances.

In it’s original format, Zarkana followed the story of Zark, a classic magician of the 18th century down on his luck, broken hearted, powers gone and sulking in his abandoned theater. We soon find the spirits inhabiting this theater that lead Zark down the rabbit hole in search of his lost love.

Operatic, and feeling like a mix of Tim Burton meets Phantom of the Opera. Packed with the highest level acrobatics, Zarkana was one of those Cirque shows that had both the classic energy and modern, no expense spared production that we know and love from the company. It was the honor of a lifetime to be a main character and introduce this show night after night for so many years!

The time I got to play the Mad Scientist in a movie. Watch as I trade scenes with the likes of Robert De Niro, Kevin Kline, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Douglas!
